My head is doing pirouettes and splits. When I was a kid I wanted to be a:
(1) doctor : veterinarian or pediatrician, I can't remember why;
(2) ballerina : because I liked spinning;
(3) nun : hahahhahaaa just because I don't like boys;
(4) cartoonist : the minute I got home from school I'd turn on the TV and watch "Where's Wally?" (or Where's Waldo?" - I never knew which) and I wanted to make those puzzles too;
(5) detective : influence of Nancy Drew;
(6) comic book artist : in elementary I made stick-figure comics on yellow paper, titled "WeirdGirl". She had a cape but she couldn't fly and she crashed into the panels' lines a lot. In 6th grade the stick-figures acquired flesh, so did the yellow paper, which became a booklet and had the famous line, "Help! My tree is stuck in that cat!";
(7) writer : This came late, around 1st year high-school, when I realized that my English essays had better grades than my art projects. I think it was mostly because of the character sketches I made of people. :\

Now, I want to be:

(1) *text cursor remains blink-blinking*

Maybe just a someone. Haha.
Surprisingly, staring at the Application to Graduate Assessment form makes me think things.

They've got a Lavender Brown already. I think she looks like an Olsen Twin in that photo, or that person who played Fleur Delacour maybe, but in others she looks okay. Hneh. Now we know who we'll see mushying Won-Won. Hahaha. I think it's a better choice than their Narcissa Malfoy though. I just can't see Naomi Watts babying Draco. (o______O) I looked up her photo again and yis, she would make a good Narcissa. Maybe she needs to work on that look that Harry describes as having dung under her nose?

[Cresta Monte hangover] Gah. During the Writer's Workshop, while they were geeking about Tolkien, I discovered Slytherin gulaman. Eeek. Dork. X3 I suddenly want a Slytherin scarf for Christmas. =\ [/Cresta Monte hangover]

Hm. I haven't seen the light of the computer much. Other than having a swollen eye (I shouldn't even be exposing myself to radiation but I'm ebol stubborn ebol naahahaaaa) of unkown origins, I have to take care of my sister while my mom's in the hospital. Eeek sickness. My mom underwent surgery and now she's vomiting because the anesthesia's wearing out. They cut up her throat, I think, then stitched it up again. We can't even visit. AGRRFFNRNRFFGHHHHH. This is insanity. What to do is what I don't know. Haha. Yeah, smaugh all the way because there's nothing more that ability allows.

Kindergarten Homework! Oh lordy. I'm not sure if I should go be a kid again to answer my sister's assignments, but I never really grew up anyway so it's okay. Haha.
And since I can't lullaby her to sleep, I made Neia listen to The Weakerthans' "My Favorite Chords." It worked - she fell asleep at around 11pm, after I consented to telling her a story about her stuffed monkey. Bananas, mind you. Completely.

Guh, two days already and the end is un-near and here.

It seems like the Potterheads among my friends are out reading the 7th book, or still standing in line for it. Not me though. I wish to prolong the non-end of the Wizarding World. I don't want my favorite characters to achieve the finale this quickly. I am unable to accept the fact that it's all going to be ovar!

Well, yes and no. Honestly, I just don't have the $$$ to buy a book yet. My savings aren't enough. Hahaha. I've already made reservations to borrow the copies of those who are willing to lend though. It's all a matter of who finishes first.

But I wouldn't mind if someone read it aloud to me (with feeling, of course) or gave me a photocopy of the whole book. *hinthint*

Oh well, since I'm not reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows today, I'm going to go try finish "Good Omens" by the Lords Gaiman and Pratchett.
November = Subic = Neil Gaiman = supposed glee = can't go = Hrnf.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix sort of enlightened my line of vision yesterday. Nicki, her boyfriend/dog/driver/William, Issa and I watched at Rockwell (not intended by me or my wallet, I assure you) after class and had a beri-okay. I fangirl Snape and Umbridge and Luna Lovegood and Tonks so much. Hahaha. I could list down all my favorite scenes here (I already have on my thoughtpad, and they aren't a lot) but I do not wish to reveal too much to you. If you've seen the movie then . . . you bought a movie ticket.

It's not an entirely horrid adaptation, but they could've worked on it more. Since they tried to do the impossible again - squeeze the entire book into the time frame of 2-3 hours - a lot of the roles were underplayed. The fact that Hermione and Ron always seemed to wear striped tops at the same time made Issa and me wo0t like hell. Hahaha. Also, Harry is a very convincing snaolphin. Umbridge/Filch = OTP. Snape = Squee. The actress who played Luna Lovegood was fun though.

I think the onslaught of new characters (and seeing our favorite old ones) took the focus away from the story. Issa and I kept pointing out stuff they missed, as I assume most fans do. Hnnr. It could really have been better.

After watching we went to SM Mall of Asia (two malls in a day, wtf). Nicki wanted to buy iMAX tickets because her parents wanted to watch HP5 there. The weekends were already sold out. When she and William left, Issa and I were left to wander around (date! HAHA), eat dinner and wait for her dad to pick us up. Oh the things friendsh talk aboutsh. Tshk.

Gah. I wanna go watch The Simpsons Movie.
There's also Ratatouille and Evan Almighty. :D

Better save up for those first. My wallet now despises me. Haha. I don't even have any money to buy Harry Potter and the dawn of unpleasant titles Deathly Hallows, and it's release is in what, 7 days?

ARGH.
I am feeling a deep aggression towards our ISP.
Yes, it's pre-paid and I can't connect to the server when I want to. I think I just got lucky this time.
But it's . . . (>_<)! It won't open webpages properly! It's as unstable as I am when studying for INTLLAW.

Speaking of which:
I asked the Book of Answers (we found one last week; didn't buy it though) whether I would pass my first major exam for the class.
It said,
"Use Your Imagination."

Hahaha.

From [info]hp_fridayfive. (It's not Friday, and I'm not really following the '5' part.)

Would you rather...
1. Work with dragons or treasure hunt for Gringott's?
- Work with dragons, so we could invade Gringott's. Hahahahhahahaaaaa
2. Spend a day with the Order of the Phoenix or Dumbledore's Army?
- Order of the Phoenix. Members of the DA are still alive, and hanging out with dead people would be fangirlingly fun. Haha. And the DA is pretty lame compared to the Order.
3. Visit Dumbledore's office or Snape's dungeon?
- Hmm. Snape's dungeon. Because Dumbledore isn't really in his office anymore (tear!*), so it's not Dumbledore's office. It's now The Whoever-the-new-Headmaster-is' Office, and the furniture's probably changed.
4. Give an old school detention to Filch or Umbridge?
- to Filch. Just because. Haha. Despite the pink-ness of Umbridge, I'm rooting for her as a villain. I mean, she made us annoyed at her and she gave Harry detention! What a great anti-hero strategy!
5. Have an Invisibility Cloak or a Time Turner?
- I'd prefer the Invisibility Cloak, to steal someone else's Time Turner undetected. Hee.

For each pairing, chose who you think would win in a fight. If you'd like, explain how you chose the victor.
1."Batshit" Bellatrix LeStrange vs. Narcissa "Not a Sissy" Malfoy
- Bellatrix. (Narcissa is going to start bawling like Draco, I swear.)
2. Remus "Moony" Lupin vs. Fenrir "Will Eat Your Children" Greyback
- Lupin. (Fenrir Greyback just doesn't seem smart enough. Even if he's been devouring the young 'uns for ages, Lupin's got smarts and motive.)
3. Gilderoy "Blonde Ambition" Lockhart vs Ludo "The Wasp" Bagman
- Lockhart. (He's going to blinding-smile-in-your-face-kick! Ludo Bagman when he gets his mind back. But Bagman's going to win otherwise.)
4. Severus "Don't Call me Snivellus" Snape vs "Seriously" Sirius Black
- Gah. Tough. Snape. (Sirius is probably going to keep bad-mouthing Snape and somehow forget he's in a battle. Besides, Snape doesn't waste any time. He'll probably go "Avada Kedavra!" the first chance he gets.)
5. Neville "Stubefy" Longbottom vs Peter "Pathetically Pitiful" Pettigrew
- Neville. (He's NEVILLE, and that's better than Pettigrew. Plus, I like his toad. Haha.)

Oh, Pink, I don't think I can ever see you positively again.

And here's a Photo of Umbridge and Pothead in the Frog's office. (ohgodsdanielradcliffeisnotdoingjusticetoHarryPotter.it's...disturbing.)

Apparently there are 93 days left until Order of the Phoenix is shown in theatres.

Please don't mistake this post as a declaration of an aspiration to have "Detention" with the Potions Master. His character is just so overwhelming on so many levels. Haha.

What are 2006 ways to change a person?

Yappy Hew Near anyway.

I just came back from the depths of Pampanga (again), and before I left, I ran out of Internet card load, so I didn't get to update at all. Psh.

The Xmas comic I was supposed to post before I left but didn't get to do )

Well, Christmas was okay. I wasn't as Grinch-y as last Xmas, but seriously, the present haul was pretty creepy. I got really girly stuff like a handbag, a pink shirt, and a flowy skirt. *wonders if she'll ever wear those* The best thing came by New Year's Eve...and it was randomly named Plumpett.

Fromple G. Plumpett...or Lima Bean )

The usual Xmas food was laid out, and we celebrated by the pool. No swimming though. The colds virus still haunting me...

More images taken by Fromple G. Plumpett )

And while in Pampanga, boredom took over and produced these, which surprised me more than the presents. I was like, "I can draw?!?!"

Boredomness. )

I guess this is long enough. The images make the post longer, and the cuts make it shorter. Wah. I'm still sleepee.

Back to DLSU in a few days. I wonder what this term (and year) holds.......

Well, I'm off to enroll in a few hours. [Damn ye, Internet connection. Damn ye.]

I think I need a new layout...
